Philosophy Café: Mini Ethics Bowl

30 August 2017 (Wed), 4:30-6 pm
At Cendana Student Commons

Ever wondered about ethical dilemmas in your life? Should you turn your parent in if they violate laws? Is it moral to use animals for experimentation? Ethical questions are everywhere in our life.

Originated from the United States, the Ethics Bowl is an activity that combines competitive tournament with thought provoking thinking on ethical quandaries. This semester, Yale-NUS Philosophy Cafe kicks start with a Mini Ethics Bowl to prompt students think more deeply about ethical issues in their life.

Led by Prof. Keating and Prof. Zheng, the Mini Ethics Bowl engages students with daily scenarios, and challenges them to work within a limited time to present the best arguments regarding ethical questions.

All students are welcomed and no advanced preparation is required.
